Go Back

Leaving Deniliquin head out on the Conargo Road, stopping first at the site of Deniliquin’s Ute Muster Festival. The impressive gateway and infrastructure will give you an insight into how large and important this festival is to Deniliquin.

Keep an eye out for the Conargo Mile Pegs which portray pioneering scenes. There are 10 Mile Pegs along the way.You will pass through prime irrigated agricultural and Merino country. Properties such Peppinella, Warriston and Boonoke are steep in the history of the Peppin Merino.

Clancy’s Winery & Museum, approx 23kms from town, is where you can taste their wines, see one of Australia’s largest number plate collections and reminisce in the International Museum.

Continuing on to Conargo you can visit the sports ground with the restored buggy showcased, look at the old church and stables, call into the store for an ice cream and visit the historic Conargo Pub.
